Alstroemeria Psittacine or Alstroemeria Pulchella…called Peruvian Lily or Parrot Lily...noted for its exotic, feathery blooms resembling a parrot… Beautifully spotted and marked perennial, lily-like flowers with deep, thick roots. The foliage grows between 6-12 inches high and looks like little green umbrellas …flower stalks 18-24 inches…long lasting as a cut flower. Dies to the ground in the early summer to return in the fall and flowers in spring. This particular plant is one that is the common Alstroemeria and was given to us as a pass along plant.  It is very invasive. The seeds may fly into areas 5-7 feet away.
