Clerodendrum Bungei

When this plant was given to us a number of years ago it was called Cashmere Bouquet, our native hydrangea. There are also other names such as Rose Glory Bower, Mexicali Rose, Mexican Hydrangea.

This plant is very invasive.  I do not recommend it for the flowerbeds but prefer to  keep it in a container to keep it under control.  It is a very pretty plant with large leaves and a large pink bloom. The plant has a weedy smell, but the large pink blooms have a lovely aroma, somewhat like that of the Cashmere Bouquet bar of soap.
