Alby Squirrel

Alby Squirrel

Sally brought us three babies, one of which was a white squirrel.  This was not an albino squirrel as it did not have red eyes, but was just a regular white squirrel which we named Alby because of the white flowers in the garden. Most pictures we saw of white squirrels all had white tails but Alby had a beautiful bushy gray tail with a stripe under the bottom.

Alby was much smaller than the other two and seem to have more difficulty getting around such as climbing fences.  The other two were up and gone and many times he would fall to the ground, then he was up and trying again, finally  succeeding. We noticed Sally always kept an eye on him from a distance making sure he made it safely. He seemed to grow and caught up with the others and was tamed very quickly and would come running when we called him.
